Our Love Story
Susan and Calvin’s story began in downtown Toronto at Qin’s Garden, where a first date over 小笼包 turned into hours of effortless conversation and an instant connection. What started as a simple dinner quickly felt like the beginning of something meaningful, as laughter flowed easily and time seemed to slow. Their second date—shared over seafood—felt just as special, made even more memorable when Susan realized her long-standing seafood allergy had mysteriously disappeared after meeting Calvin, a small moment that felt like magic.
From that point on, their love grew through shared experiences and adventures. Together, they traveled to sun-soaked shores, snorkeled in the open ocean, and enjoyed carefree days filled with unlimited mojitos and frappuccinos in Cuba and Cancun, Mexico. Back home, they found joy in quieter moments—weekend hikes with their husky, Ollie, and welcoming their cat, Simba, into their lives, growing their little family to four. Through every journey, near and far, Susan and Calvin have built a love rooted in laughter, companionship, and shared dreams, and they look forward to a lifetime of adventures together.
Calvin proposed to Susan at the lighthouse in Oakville by the lake during sunset. What began as a simple walk turned into a surprise proposal, complete with flowers and a beautiful lake view. Beneath the lighthouse, Calvin asked the question, and Susan said “I do.” It was a quiet, emotional moment for both of them, and there were a few happy tears as they took in the view and the moment together.

What time should I arrive?
Please arrive about 15–20 minutes early so everyone can get settled and enjoy the surroundings before the ceremony begins.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Formal / Black Tie Optional. Feel free to dress up or keep it simple and elegant—tuxes, gowns, suits, and formal dresses are all welcome. Wear what makes you feel great!
How does dinner work?
Dinner will be a seated meal, and you’ll be able to order on the spot from a curated selection of menu options, so you can choose exactly what you’re in the mood for.
Is parking available?
Yes! There is plenty of free parking available on-site at the venue.
Are children welcome?
Children are more than welcome—please just keep little ones supervised so everyone can enjoy the evening.

Getting to our wedding venue:
Edgewater Manor is easily accessible by car from across the Greater Toronto Area. From downtown Toronto, the drive typically takes about 35–45 minutes on a Sunday, with lighter traffic compared to weekdays. Guests traveling from North York, Vaughan, Scarborough, or Mississauga can expect a similar travel time of approximately 40–60 minutes, depending on starting location. For our international guests flying in, Toronto Pearson International Airport is about a 30–40 minute drive from the venue. We recommend allowing a bit of extra time to account for any unexpected delays, though Sunday traffic is generally smooth. Ample free parking will be available upon arrival.
